Andrea Carrobi
Well, let's meet! I am Andrea, a Ph.D. candidate, a biotechnologist, and a plant lover.

Here at Sessa Lab, my research aim is to describe the Type VI secretion system of a plant bacteria pathogen.
The organism uses the system as an antibacterial determinant to outcompete bacterial rivals. I'm conducting an in-depth analysis of the T6SS gene cluster and the putative effectors and immunity genes that comprise it with a look at the evolution and effector diversification of the system in our specific model.
