Ksenia Leo
Hi, I'm Ksenia! Coming from a family where the medical profession has been passed down for generations, I was naturally drawn to the life sciences from a young age. I hold an M.Sc. in Microbiology from Lomonosov Moscow State University and am now pursuing my Ph.D. at the Sessa Lab.

My interests lie at the intersection of molecular genetics, molecular immunology, and biotechnology. During a summer internship at the School of Plant Sciences and Food Security at Tel Aviv University, I was inspired by the potential of science-backed agriculture to improve food security. That's what brought me to the Sessa Lab, where I'm exploring the intricacies of the plant pathogen P. agglomerans type VI secretion system.

Having several years of industry experience behind me, I'm dedicated to bridging the gap between the lab and the farm. My aim is to leverage my scientific background and commitment to making a difference to drive tangible outcomes for the crop protection industry. I am proud to be an ADAMA Center Fellow as I work towards this goal.
